||For The Love of Coffee||

Coffee. I'm not going to pretend like I know what I'm talking about because although I fully enjoy a cup of specialty coffee, I've always been more of a tea drinking. There was a phase of my life when all I drank was rich black coffee and most days I got too hyper or would crash unexpectedly, so unfortunately decided it wasn't for me to make it a daily ritual.

Anyways lots of my friends love it, sell it or are very involved in all things to do with getting customers that energizing drink. One of my dearest friends (Kate Black, manager of St. Clare Coffee) has really opened my eyes to the gift that coffee is. The income that it brings to farmers and their families all over the world and the importance of being involved in the whole process as producers and consumers.

St. Clare is based in San Francisco, California and is the sister coffee shop to Saint Frank (also based in SF). This specialty coffee shop not only sells my favorite coffee and delicious pastries but also actively practices the relational aspect with their farmers. There's so much more that these particular coffee shops do to bring justice and wholeness to broken people and places. Even though I've never worked in a coffee shop or even been a regular coffee consumer I'm thankful to be aware of the good effect it has globally when done right!

If your ever in the bay area, make sure to head over to either one of the shops, I guarantee you it'll be worth it!
