||Perspective||

Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing the Forrests! These guys are awesome, they work with YWAM Tanzania.

Being in Tanzania has brought back lots of memories of growing up as a missionary kid for me. The cool thing about photographing and getting to know families here on mission is, I can relate to the kids too.

Life I've noticed is so much about perspective. I was in their shoes at one point but now I'm seeing life from a different view point (literally).

Pray for these guys as their Discipleship Training School graduates this week as well as all the other things they balance in life.

Happy Tuesday

||His Style||

Back in Africa! Wow, this is my third time flying into the country of Tanzania and to me, it's never felt more like home. Although I did have a rather dramatic entrance, the familiarity of it was comforting.

I started my travel day at 2:30 A.M. from Slovakia and got to Tanzania at 7:50 P.M. On the last 8-hour flight I must have eaten something bad because I wasn't feeling too well. When I landed at the airport there were a ton of people needing to get through customs, the most I had ever seen at the KIA airport.

As I was standing I started to feel light headed and prayed that somehow God would get me to the front of the line. I estimated in my mind about 2 more hours of waiting.
All the sudden I knew I was going to faint so I turned to the guy behind me, told him and then felt myself black out slowly to the ground while someone caught my head.

I woke up with my legs elevated on some guys hips and people feeding me sugar and food, asking me a ton of questions. As I regained strength they all said, "get her to the front of the line!"

A very helpful lady got me to the front within 5 minutes as well as carried all my luggage. When I went outside, I was expecting a shuttle diver to pick me up and instead was surprised by my awesome teammates Peter and Tammy!

God works in mysterious ways but I like His style. Never predictable!

Last week was recovery, settling back in and getting into the rhythms of the Land again. Building is resuming but at a much slower pace. One of our carpenters also had another son and he gave us the honors of naming him (Baby Moses, Musa in Swahili).

This week we have a Maasai seminar, training course for the Pastors Peter and Tammy have been pouring into over the years. It's going to be full and intense but the Wild Hope Land is a rest retreat, so of course there will be a lot of time for that as well!

Stay tuned for photos on the @Wildhopeinternational and _DG_805 Instagram pages as well as my Facebook and Wild Hope's page!

Happy Monday
