|| When We Pray ||

As the fires are growing and moving in Ventura county I'm trying to find ways to capture, encourage, and empathize.

This morning I woke up sad. Sad because I could smell the smoke in our Santa Barbara apartment. Though we are safe, I looked out our sliding doors and saw a mixture of fog and ash covering the sky. I prayed, asking God for rain and comfort for those who have lost their homes.

A song the Lord's been putting on my heart is "When We Pray" by Tauren Wells which talks about the church and the ways the world changes when the body of Christ comes together to pray.

Yesterday a couple of friends and I dropped off some donations to City Church in Ventura and then headed to Reality Ventura for a prayer meeting. It was so rad and encouraging to see the church coming together to pray and ask God for help.

God is a good Father and He's in control, not only in our regular routine, but even when fires strike.

"All the world starts changing
When the church starts praying..."

|| Be Held ||

I've happily neglected the blog knowing there's no way to even attempt to put all my thoughts, in a couple of paragraphs.
This past month and a half has been the craziest season for me. I'll probably say that for the rest of my life.

Really though.

A few weeks after I got back from Tanzania, my friend told me about this album called "Be Held: Lullabies for the Beloved" by Christy Nockels.

I think I listen this album at least four times a week and am still unpacking the golden nuggets in every lyric!

Worshiping the Creator is one of my favorite things to do. This album is anointed, healing, and true. If you’re looking for something new to soak in, I highly recommend it.

Happy Tuesday!

|| Surprise ! ||

Wow it's been a minute since I've sat down and updated!
So, here's a handful of photos from the past weeks and just a general update.

God is sovereign, and has been throwing so many surprises in my life! I don't know when I started becoming a fan, but ever since I've verbalized "I love surprises" probably about a year ago, it seems they just keep coming.

One of the biggest being an incredible man who cherishes the Lord more than I knew one could. And happens to have a crush on me :)

A couple of weeks ago I also got to spend some quality time with my twin and her community in Washington which was such a gift.

Also, photo-shoots have been falling into place which always makes my heart happy.

There’s the gist,

Happy Saturday!
