||Desert Queens||

The past few days have been a gift. Full of creativity, the beach, talks, spontaneous dancing and much more. It's these seasons that in the past I've tried to rush or grip too tightly in fear of losing them. But for some reason these ones I've been able to take as they come.

It's easy for me to be thankful for the hardships when I'm experiencing the fullness of a high season. So for now I'm going to acknowledge all of God's goodness in the richness of today and pray that when the suffering comes I cling to His truths and faithfulness.

Happy Monday

||For The Love of Coffee||

Coffee. I'm not going to pretend like I know what I'm talking about because although I fully enjoy a cup of specialty coffee, I've always been more of a tea drinking. There was a phase of my life when all I drank was rich black coffee and most days I got too hyper or would crash unexpectedly, so unfortunately decided it wasn't for me to make it a daily ritual.

Anyways lots of my friends love it, sell it or are very involved in all things to do with getting customers that energizing drink. One of my dearest friends (Kate Black, manager of St. Clare Coffee) has really opened my eyes to the gift that coffee is. The income that it brings to farmers and their families all over the world and the importance of being involved in the whole process as producers and consumers.

St. Clare is based in San Francisco, California and is the sister coffee shop to Saint Frank (also based in SF). This specialty coffee shop not only sells my favorite coffee and delicious pastries but also actively practices the relational aspect with their farmers. There's so much more that these particular coffee shops do to bring justice and wholeness to broken people and places. Even though I've never worked in a coffee shop or even been a regular coffee consumer I'm thankful to be aware of the good effect it has globally when done right!

If your ever in the bay area, make sure to head over to either one of the shops, I guarantee you it'll be worth it!

||I LOVE||

I love PORTRAITS! Always have, always will. I love making people feel known and seen through a simple picture of their face. No, I don't always get it right but I do try my hardest to bring out a smile, silly face or any expression that makes the individual feel special. These are the staff members at Wild Hope (the organization I'll be working with in Tanzania) and I had so much fun photographing them while I was there!

Can't wait to get to know these faces better when I head back in October!

Happy Friday
