So I spent the last four days exploring the land of rain, good coffee and
even better people.
A couple of months ago I was texting one of my dear friends who serves and
lives in the Tenderloin (she and I share a similar heart and vision for it) and
just for the heck of it I was looking up plane tickets to her home town in
Oregon. I sent her a screen shot of this ridiculously good deal and she dared
me to take it and I did.
I'm very happy to announce that, that was one of my favorite spontaneous
decisions.
Not only was I constantly in awe of the beauty of this state but I also got
to spend an entire day with the twin, her husband and another good friend who
happened to be in Portland the same week. I also could not have dreamed of a
better host with parents who spoiled me with their outstanding cooking and
generous hospitality.
I'm thankful for Keeley and even more thankful that God created her and
allowed our paths to cross the way they did!
Here's to ending an unforgettable year with one of my favorite adventures
yet!
