This weekend I had my first urban engagement shoot! And let me just say that chasing cable cars, roaming the streets and capturing love is probably one of my favorite things to do.

Ian and Kristin are such a sweet, beautiful and adventurous couple and I'm honored that they were my first in the city. Not only did I get to photograph their engagement but I also have the privilege of shooting their wedding in August!

||The Sun Chasers||

As impossible as this seems sometimes times I don't like taking pictures. But wait, I'm a photography major, in the most photogenic city, constantly surrounded by photo-ops how is this so? Well people, like many things in life even our creative outlet can just become a chore.

BUT I would like to put a huge emphasis on the word sometimes because yesterday evening that was not the case. A couple of friends and I headed out to the Presidio as well as Sutro Baths to capture the glorious sun and it was pretty rad.

Often times, all it takes to get re-inspired is a little sun chasing and good company.

||She's A Keeper||

Kate Black. There are so many things about this girl that I love. She’s one of my closest friends in the city, she’s kind, loving, hilarious, genuine and an overall joyful spirit. She’s made living in San Francisco such an adventure and I truly can’t imagine the city without her.

Friendship is a gift and Kate is definitely a special one.

Always treasure the people you choose to surround yourself with, life is too short not to!
