||Art||
My 6th period art class is one of the only things that gets me through the school day. I don't think I'll ever get tired of anything to do with it.

C.P.
I've known Cristian Perez for a good amount of time (yes I say "good
amount of time" because I don't know the exact years) and this year
especially we've become good entrepreneur buddies. What I mean by that is
Cristian cuts hair and I do photography and we like to chat about how
our little self owned businesses have grown, what some of the struggles
are as well as some of the best parts. It's nice to relate to people in
different areas of our lives, to be reminded that what we're going
through isn't uncommon or weird. I had the privilege of taking his
senior portraits this past weekend and it was a good contrast to see his
softer side as well as the manly side. Your going to go far in life
Cristian and I can't wait to see where you end up!

More Days Like This
Today while I was doing senior portraits for my friend Cristian I snapped this photo. I absolutely love this weather especially because we don't get a tone of it here it Carp. It also reminds me a lot of San Francisco which is where I'll be living next year. Thinking about the future is overwhelming and exciting and scary but it also reminds me to be okay with where I am now and what I'm doing here. God has a purpose for every stage of our lives and it would be a waste of time to not be present in the here in now. Still learning how to balance it all but I don't know where I would be with out my best friend Jesus encouraging me every day. I am loved and I am blessed and that's all I need.

Some Good Colors
Usually when I photograph families the "go to outfit" choice is white shirt and jeans. After a while that gets old, but today I was really diggin' the colors from the Garibay's shoot. Everything had a nice flow and it was perfect for the foggy weather.
Creativity
I love little things like candles and sea shells that make rooms unique and interesting, so here's a little insider to mine.

Ready to Go
For some reason listening to Gracious Tempest by Hillsong Young and Free makes this photo come to life. I think that's the case with all pictures, listening to a good song draws the eye in and makes us understand it better. I shot this photo in film and went through the whole process of developing it and then enlarging it and finally printing it. So it already has more meaning to me than just a digital photo. But when I look at it even though it was just a broken down house on the warf in San Francisco I see more. I see a peaceful house where everything is quiet and relaxing. Wishing I was there right now instead of a rowdy class room because at least then I could think with out being disrupted by a loud yell. At this moment I am more than ready to graduate.

The Real Thing
One of the cool things about living in a small community is here in Carpinteria if there happens to be an extraordinary sunset many of us will gather at the beach and admire God's beautiful art work. It's encouraging that even with such advanced technology where we can easily look up sunsets or nature, it still doesn't beat the real thing.

A few of my favorite things
Converse, my watch and skinny jeans are a few of my favorite things. A good way to tell me and Tabitha apart is by who is wearing a watch, which is always me. I have a phone but for some reason knowing the time with out having to answer a text or check my social media is important to me. I also love converse because their close to tennis shoes but still look cute. And skinny jeans allow me to do a handstand (which I also love) and yet keep me warm and can be dressed up to look formal.

Twinning
Here's a little fact for you, I have a twin. She's a baker/cook and I'm the photographer so naturally I was going to take her senior pictures but I wasn't quite sure what we were going to do when it came to me. Yesterday I decided it was a good day to teach Tabitha (my twin) all the skills I had acquired over the course of four years. Not really, I just taught her how to push a button. All in all we both got our senior portraits done and we happened to have them taken by each other.

K.B.
Kendra Baber is one of dearest and oldest friends. I've known this amazing girl since fifth grade and it was an honor for me to shoot her senior photos last week. I've been doing senior portraits for a while now but I knew this year in particular would be my favorite since me and my friends are all seniors. I love the fact that I get to capture my friends on camera and their natural beauty. I feel like a mom saying this, but it's been incredible seeing Kendra grow into her self and become such a strong, mature young woman. Can't wait to see where life continues to take our friendship. Enjoy!

Missing Pumpkins
It seems like here in Carpinteria we were ripped off when it came to fall and winter. Missing these days
